The job
Outdoor electrics need to cope with rain, frost and spades. Lights and sockets outside get their own protected circuit, with cables buried or clipped where they will not be damaged.
How we do it
- Run a dedicated, RCD-protected outdoor circuit
- Fit wall and path lights
- Add a weatherproof double socket by the patio
- Put the lights on a timer and a switch indoors
